How to Use Hint, Undo, and Shuffle

Use Hint when your eyes are tired

Hint highlights one available pair. It is best when the Pairs open counter shows moves exist but you cannot find them. Before pressing it, scan suits separately: circles, bamboo, characters, winds, dragons, then flowers and seasons.

After the hint appears, study why that pair is legal. Is one tile newly free? Did you overlook a season match? This turns Hint into practice instead of a random answer button.

Use Undo when the board gets worse

Undo is the strategic tool. If a move drops Pairs open from six to two, or if it removes the only free copy of a tile while another copy is buried, take it back. Try the same match in a different pairing or leave that tile for later.

Undo is especially useful on Turtle, Pyramid, Fortress, and Cube because stacked tiles make consequences harder to see.

Use Shuffle when there are no moves

Shuffle rearranges the faces on remaining tile positions so play can continue. It does not remove tiles for you, and it does not change which positions are physically free. It is a rescue for a stuck position.

Because every board here is generated to be solvable, you can also restart and look for the clean solution. Shuffle is better when you want to keep playing the current game rather than treat the dead end as a lesson.

A practical tool order

• First, scan the board yourself and check flower or season matches.
• Second, use Hint if moves exist but you cannot spot one.
• Third, use Undo if recent moves reduced your options.
• Fourth, use Shuffle when no moves remain and you want to continue.
