Mahjong Solitaire Layouts
Every layout below uses the same simple rules — match identical free tiles to clear the board — but a different shape and tile count, from a quick beginner board to a towering fortress. All boards are free to play with no download, and every one is guaranteed solvable.
Turtle (Classic)
The original four-layer Mahjong Solitaire board with the turtle's head and tail. The one most people picture when they think of Mahjong.
Pyramid
Four centred square tiers stacked into a pyramid. Dig from the corners down to the base.
Fortress
A solid base ringed by a raised wall with corner towers. Breach the walls to reach the tiles inside.
Easy
A short two-layer board of just 56 tiles — ideal for learning the game or a quick win.
Cube
Three identical squares stacked into a solid cube. Clear it strictly top-down, layer by layer.
Mountain
A wide three-tier step-pyramid with a long ridge across the top. Plenty of edges, a buried centre.
Bridge
A flat span with a raised tower at each end. Clear the middle, then dismantle both towers.
Cross
A single flat layer in a plus shape — no stacking, no buried tiles. Relaxed and quick.
