What we publish

The site publishes the playable Turtle board, a collection of additional layouts, the Daily Challenge, and learning material about matching rules, tile groups, board geometry, and gameplay decisions. The purpose is to let visitors play and inspect how this specific implementation behaves.

Initial generated boards have a valid removal path. Choices made during play, including use of Shuffle, can change the later state and its relationship to that original path.

Editorial and testing method

Articles carry the public byline Mahjong Turtle. That is the publisher brand, not a claim that the text was written by a named individual. Each evidence article states its testing method near the title so a reader can tell whether the source is a coordinate check, a fixed-seed replay, a product capture, or direct inspection of the implementation.

Rules are checked against the free-tile and matching functions. Layout measurements come from the published coordinate sets. Seed case studies regenerate the stated board and recount legal pairs after each listed move. Product explanations are checked against the controls and browser-storage behavior. Strategic interpretation is labeled as such and kept separate from measured state changes.

Mahjong Turtle avoids unsupported health, popularity, and guaranteed-success claims. Important product and editorial changes are recorded in the Changelog.

Corrections and review

A reproducible correction should identify the page, seed or layout when relevant, the observed result, and the browser used. Reports are checked against the current production build and implementation before an article is changed. Material corrections receive a new modified date and a Changelog entry.

Local progress, without an account

No account is required. When browser storage is available, Daily Challenge completions, best times and move counts, hints and undos used, and streak information are stored in that browser. The site continues to offer gameplay if that storage is unavailable, but the local history may not persist.
